When a client is relocating or downsizing, moving several items to Encore may not be enough. We do also facilitate several estate sales each year. Encore provides a full-service solution to handle the big jobs. Our Estate Sale team specializes in large projects – homes 4,000 Square Ft or larger.
Nonprofits We Support
Home Sweet Home
A local, nonprofit furniture bank. The mission of Home Sweet Home is to give families a sense of pride and to improve the quality of their lives by providing basic household furnishings.
Clients are referred to Home Sweet Home from partner agencies in the St. Louis area. These clients are people transitioning out of homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, families living in extreme poverty, veterans in need, and other children and adults who need the stability basic furnishings can provide.
Home Sweet Home accepts donations of furniture and household goods that are clean and in good working order – including kitchen tables and chairs, mattresses, box springs, linens, and more. Clients have shopping appointments to choose the items they like and can use. The items are usually delivered to the clients the very same day, and lives are changed (imagine sleeping in a bed for the first time in months!)

ShoeCrew Water Projects
At Encore, we are delighted to be affiliated with this organization. Both locations have drop-off bins in each showroom to collect used, yet gently worn shoes.
ShoeCrew Water Projects exists to fund safe, sustainable water sources for people in developing countries. We do this through local education about the global water crisis, sanitation & hygiene and sustainability, equipping individuals to make a global impact through local action.
Local action includes the opportunity to keep usable shoes out of our local landfills and donating them to ShoeCrew Water Projects, where they generate revenue for water points and operations.
In addition to their mission of water and education in the community, ShoeCrew Water Projects also donates shoes back into the community, supporting the homeless and children organizations.
